Congratulations, St. Gabriel Chess Team

The Chess team did really well this year with 7 team members qualifying for the finals on Saturday, February 22nd. We also took home some team recognitions as well. The teams were given plaques in recognition.

4th Grade Qualifiers:

5th Grade Qualifier:
Ryan M.

6th Grade Qualifiers:
Joey B.
Vincent D.

8th Grade Qualifier:
Orlando F. (Chaminade, former Gabe's student)

Team awards:
3-4th team took 2nd at the St. Catherine Laboure tournament
5-6th team took 2nd at the St. Joseph Cottleville tournament

5-6th team took 4th at the St. Ann tournament

Finals Results (7 qualified but only 5 were able to participate):

Leo C. took FIRST place in the 3rd - 4th grade individual

Eddie D. finished in the top 20th of 3rd - 4th grade individual

Joey B. took 7th place in the 5th - 6th grade individual

Ryan M. finished in the top 20th in the 5th-6th grade individual.
